Coppell
Coppell is a suburb and bedroom community of the DFW Metroplex,
with Interstate Highway 635, U.S. Highway 121, Interstate Highway
35 connecting it to neighboring areas. It is also home to Grapevine
Creek, Denton Creek, and Cottonwood Branch, which flow gracefully
through the city. There are many high quality apartments in Coppell
. President Sam Houston and his Republic of Texas troops used
Grapevine Creek as a camping post during negotiations with area
Indian tribes in an effort to enlist their aid in defending the
republic. Years later in 1936 the Work Projects Administration
built a park on Grapevine Creek, located in groves of oak, pecan,
and cottonwood trees. By 1990 Coppell had a successful population
of 16,881, composed of primarily upper-middle-class homeowners.
Coppell has a healthy mix of 1 bedroom apartments, 2 bedroom
apartments, and 3 bedroom apartments Today the population is
more than twice that, and the median household income is more
than $115,000. Coppell has also developed a 116-acre park system
for its residents and visitors that includes two lakes, hike
and bike trails, paddle boats, playgrounds, picnic areas, a Frisbee
golf course, a community pool, and baseball, soccer, and football
fields. Coppell has loft apartments, townhouse style apartments,
and apartments with hardwood or concrete flooring. One of Coppell's
greatest selling points is that all of its beauty and fun are
in such close proximity to DF/W International Airport. Part of
D/Fawn’s property is even located within Coppell's city
limits! Hands down, Coppell is a practical and very desirable
community to live in.
